Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) | High Point, North Carolina in High Point, NC

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Provide skilled nursing care in a dynamic medical-surgical unit specializing in adult to geriatric orthopedic and medical patients. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment equipped with onsite physical therapy facilities, allowing comprehensive patient care without the need for unit transfers. The unit size is 29 beds, managing high volumes of total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasty cases along with a variety of other surgical and medical patients, including telemetry monitoring. Responsibilities: • Deliver expert nursing care across adult and geriatric populations with orthopedic and medical-surgical needs. • Manage telemetry patient monitoring and oversee patient safety and comfort. • Float as necessary to support unit demands and step into Charge RN roles when required. • Work a 3x12-hour night shift schedule, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend coverage. • Comply with all facility policies including punctuality, attendance, and successful completion of required EKG certification. Qualifications: • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years nursing experience. • Prior travel nursing experience is mandatory. • Proven Charge RN experience with leadership skills able to manage shifts confidently. • Current BLS certification required. • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule with flexibility for weekends and occasional float assignments.
