Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) - New Castle, Delaware in New Castle, DE

A healthcare opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical, ER, or ICU experience to provide exceptional care in a hybrid hospital-at-home program based in New Castle, DE. This contract role offers a unique blend of command center responsibilities and direct patient care in the home setting, supporting an innovative approach to healthcare delivery that reduces hospital stays and focuses on patient comfort. Responsibilities include: • Managing patient care remotely from the command center and providing hands-on nursing care in patients’ homes • Administering medications and treatments following prescribed protocols • Monitoring patient conditions and communicating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care • Rotating shifts between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, including weekends, with 12-hour shifts and a guaranteed 36 hours per week • Navigating travel between patient homes intermittently, providing flexibility and responsiveness Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Active Registered Nurse license with Med-Surg, ER, or ICU experience • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills • Comfortable with hybrid roles involving both remote and in-home patient care • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare model • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between patient homes within the service area Location Insight: New Castle, DE, is a historic city offering a charming, small-town atmosphere with access to modern amenities.
