This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse with experience in medical-surgical care, located in Princeton, NJ. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within eight hours of admission to develop individualized care plans. • Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and establish patient-centered goals. • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner. • Participate actively in the patient rehabilitation program, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. • Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission to ensure a smooth transition. • Communicate important patient status changes to healthcare providers to maintain continuity and safety. • Provide supervision and training to ancillary nursing staff, delegating tasks appropriately. • Ensure personal and environmental safety, adhering to hospital policies. • Support a positive unit environment through effective communication and teamwork. • Manage supplies and resources responsibly to balance cost-effectiveness with quality care. • Assume charge nurse responsibilities as required. • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
