
Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) - Putney, Vermont in Westmoreland, NH
Job Description
This nursing opportunity is based in Putney, VT, on a contract basis in a unique adaptive acuity unit. The role involves providing specialized care with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5, including occasional progressive care unit (PCU) duties that require managing a 3:1 ratio. Candidates must be prepared to work in a dynamic environment where PCU care is a mandatory aspect of the assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across a 25-bed unit
• Administer and monitor intravenous drips with proficiency
• Function as charge nurse as required, ensuring unit coordination and patient safety
• Adapt to changing patient acuity levels and provide appropriate care
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
Desired Qualifications:
• Licensed Registered Nurse with proven clinical experience
• Strong competency in drip management and infusion therapies
• Prior charge nurse experience is essential
• Ability to provide care in an adaptive acuity environment, including PCU care
• Reliable and flexible to work a full contract duration without holiday time off
