
Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) | Rifle, Colorado in Rifle, CO
Job Description
A Registered Nurse with expertise in Med-Surg and acute care is needed to support a growing patient census driven by an increase in orthopedic surgeries, hybrid cath lab procedures, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. This position offers the opportunity to apply specialized nursing knowledge in critical disease states to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic hospital setting nestled in the scenic Colorado mountains.
Location:
This role is based in Rifle, Colorado, a charming mountain town known for its outdoor recreational opportunities such as hiking, fishing, and skiing. Living here offers a peaceful lifestyle with beautiful natural surroundings and a friendly community atmosphere.
Schedule:
• 12-hour night shifts
• Weekend rotations required
• Participation in call rotation: at least 1 call shift every 2 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver top-quality nursing care to adult acute care/med-surg patients utilizing the nursing process
• Plan, coordinate, implement, and continuously evaluate patient care plans aligned with critical disease management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond effectively during call shifts to staffing needs
Qualifications and Experience:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Colorado
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Acute Care, Med-Surg, or Telemetry
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association
• Required flu vaccination (no exemptions)

• Contract position
