A registered nurse with a background in medical-surgical nursing is sought for a contract position in Ringgold, LA. This role requires delivering comprehensive nursing care within a clinical setting, focusing on a broad array of patient conditions including pneumonia, cardiovascular issues, and telemetry monitoring. The ideal candidate practices independently, manages complex clinical situations, and contributes to long-term patient care planning.

Key responsibilities include:
• Providing nursing care aligned with professional standards through assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Addressing patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Administering medications and treatments per established protocols, monitoring patient response.
• Performing clinical tasks such as dressing changes, IV management, and care for NG and PEG tubes.
• Documenting patient histories, symptoms, and care delivered.
• Educating patients and their families regarding care plans and health management.
• Making appropriate assignments and delegating to support clinical care efficiency.

Qualifications and experience desired:
• Current RN license in the state or compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• At least 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred.

Schedule:
• Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM on Monday-Tuesday, Friday-Sunday, and Wednesday-Thursday, with alternating days off.
