Job Description
A licensed Registered Nurse is needed to provide comprehensive nursing care and support to clients in their home environments. This role involves conducting intake, supervisory, and assessment visits to promote health maintenance and disease prevention, ensuring clients ability to live independently. The nurse will collaborate with case management teams and adhere strictly to state and company policies, delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
Location:
Position is based in Shawnee, OK, serving multiple counties including Caddo, Canadian, Carter, Cleveland, Coal, Comanche, Cotton, Garvin, Grady, Greer, Jackson, Jefferson, Kingfisher, Kiowa, Lincoln, Logan, Love, McClain, Murray, Oklahoma, Payne, Potawatomie, Stephens, and Tillman. Shawnee offers a blend of small-town charm with access to vibrant cultural events, parks, and historical sites, providing a welcoming community environment.
Schedule:
• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct intake, supervisory, and nursing assessment visits to evaluate and assist clients.
• Provide health teaching and assist clients with self-care techniques and safety measures.
• Document client progress, vital signs, and communicate updates to physicians, case managers, and family.
• Ensure compliance with company, state, and regulatory policies including confidentiality and documentation standards.
• Manage medication planning and administration as prescribed.
• Perform after-hours, weekend, or holiday visits as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and competency validations.
• Maintain equipment and supplies according to infection control guidelines.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
• Registered Nurse license in Oklahoma required.
• CPR/First Aid certification and valid drivers license with auto insurance.
• One or more years of nursing experience preferred, especially in home health care.
• Experience with medication administration.
• Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
