Key Responsibilities:
• Provide professional nursing care to patients of all ages, independently making clinical decisions based on provider orders, nursing standards, and hospital policies.
• Perform thorough patient assessments, coordinate nursing care plans, and document findings accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, utilizing scientific principles and departmental guidelines.
• Support and supervise CNAs and technicians, ensuring high standards of patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote understanding, emotional support, and education.
• Participate in ongoing education, maintain certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and adhere to all mandatory training requirements.
• Adapt swiftly to emergent situations, applying sound judgment and life-saving interventions when necessary.
Desired Qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; nursing degree as per licensure standards.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred, with familiarity in multiple specialty areas a plus.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS on hire.
• Ability to work both day and night shifts and meet vaccination requirements.
• Willingness to comply with fingerprint background checks and float between units.
