This contract opportunity in Springfield, IL, is tailored for registered nurses with a strong foundation in orthopedic care, seeking a consistent night shift schedule. Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the orthopedic unit during 12-hour night shifts (18:45–07:15), working either 4 or 3 shifts per week. • Administer and manage PICC lines, start IVs, and perform phlebotomy duties as required. • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care within the scope of the orthopedic and medical-surgical departments, including floating when necessary. • Utilize Cerner electronic health records for accurate charting and documentation. • Participate in weekend rotations, working every other weekend. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Active Illinois RN license is mandatory. • Minimum of two years of nursing experience required; first-time travel nurses are welcome to apply. • BLS certification required; ACLS certification is preferred. • Telemetry experience is preferred. • Previous travel nursing experience and familiarity with Cerner charting are advantageous. • Capable of adhering to a rotating schedule with ideally no more than five days off between shifts.
