An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in a community hospital setting. This role involves coordinating patient care, participating in patient and family education, and providing leadership as a backup Charge Nurse when needed. The position utilizes Cerner electronic medical records and maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:4 or 1:5. Location: Situated in Springfield, VT, this community offers a small-town atmosphere with a close-knit population. The area has limited public transportation, so having a reliable vehicle is essential for daily commutes and flexibility. Responsibilities: • Coordinate and deliver total nursing care for patients. • Participate actively in patient and family teaching to support health outcomes. • Provide leadership in clinical settings, collaborating with ancillary staff and other healthcare team members. • May serve as a backup Charge Nurse, overseeing nursing operations as needed. • Manage patient data using Cerner EMR systems. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. • Experience working in acute care or hospital environments. • Strong leadership skills and ability to work cooperatively within multidisciplinary teams. • Ability to adhere to patient care standards and hospital protocols. Additional Details: • This is a contract position. • Orientation includes an 8-hour non-billable session. • Call-back, holiday, and overtime shifts include premium multipliers. • A maximum of 5 days off is allowed during the assignment, with requests approved prior to start. • Local candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible. • Reliable personal transportation is mandatory due to limited public transit options.
