Key Responsibilities : • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within the first 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans. • Identify and address patient and family education needs in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. • Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly according to established policies. • Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs, delivering direct care using the nursing process : assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. • Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from admission onwards to support smooth transitions. • Communicate patient status changes effectively among care team members including physicians and charge nurses to maintain continuity and safety. • Supervise and provide guidance to ancillary nursing personnel, delegating responsibilities and promoting efficient unit operations. • Maintain compliance with safety policies and procedures to ensure personal, patient, and environmental safety. • Support unit teamwork by offering calm leadership and positive collaboration with staff, patients, and families. • Manage supply needs and training requirements to uphold cost-effective, quality care delivery. • Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as appropriate. • Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance skills and clinical competence.
