Job Description
This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care in a dynamic medical-surgical department serving a diverse patient population, from neonates to geriatrics. Experience rural healthcare at its finest while expanding your skills across multiple specialties including medical, surgical, high acuity, rehabilitative, skilled, and pediatric care. You will have opportunities for cross-training in postpartum care, infusion and wound therapies, as well as the Emergency Department and PACU.

Moab, Utah, is a stunning desert town renowned for its breathtaking red rock landscapes, including proximity to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Nestled at the base of the LaSal Mountains and along the Colorado River, Moab offers year-round outdoor recreation such as mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, and river activities. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
• Current, unencumbered RN license in Utah or compact state
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• 1-2 years medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications or ability to obtain within one year
• Willingness to earn NRP certification within one year
• Solid knowledge of infection control and patient safety principles
• Strong critical thinking skills in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Emotional maturity to manage stressful situations calmly
• Reliable and flexible with scheduling and duties
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct and indirect patient care across a spectrum of medical-surgical cases
• Deliver care consistent with certification levels and hospital protocols
• Participate in ongoing professional development and departmental training
• Maintain patient safety and compliance with infection control standards
Schedule:
• Night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM
• Anticipated 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
