An experienced Registered Nurse with a background in Medical-Surgical care is sought for a night shift role within a well-established healthcare team specializing in adult patient care. This contract position offers a consistent 36-hour workweek consisting of three 12-hour shifts, primarily scheduled overnight. The role emphasizes providing quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients with a preference for candidates experienced in telemetry monitoring.

The position is based in York, Maine, a charming coastal town known for its scenic beaches, historic sites, and welcoming community. Living in York provides a peaceful environment, ideal for those who appreciate a mix of small-town charm and access to natural beauty.
Schedule/Hours:
- 36 hours per week
- Three 12-hour shifts
- Night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
- Every other weekend required
- No call or block scheduling
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous medical-surgical nursing experience is mandatory
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- BLS/BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Compliance with the State of Maines flu vaccine mandate
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients overnight
- Monitor patient telemetry and respond to changes in patient status promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including proper timecard completion following facility guidelines
- Adhere to all facility policies and state regulations
