Registered Nurse Job Details • Position Type: Travel Med/Surg RN Contract • Location: York, Maine (Zip: 03909) - Maine nursing jobs • Unit: Medical Surgical Ortho, Med-Surg Adult • Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:30 am • Hours: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts) • Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/16/2026 - End: 5/18/2026) • Scheduling: Every other weekend required; no block scheduling; no call required Med/Surg RN Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - Maine or compact state • Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience required • Current ACLS and BLS/BCLS certifications required • Telemetry nursing experience preferred • Flu vaccine required per Maine healthcare regulations Key Responsibilities for Medical Surgical Nurse • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and orthopedic med/surg patients • Monitor and assess patient status, responding promptly to changes in condition • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans • Accurately document patient care and maintain medical records • Offer compassionate support and patient education to individuals and families • Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and timecard submission requirements Discover rewarding healthcare opportunities in York, Maine, and enjoy the benefits of working in a beautiful coastal community.
