Job Description

A Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse (RN) is needed for a contract position in Richmond, VA. This role requires a minimum of three years of NICU nursing experience, with previous travel nursing experience preferred. Candidates must be willing to work night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM) every other weekend and major holidays. This position may require floating within the New Life Center or to other NICU units and potentially covering up to 24 hours of call in a six-week period. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Current RN license eligible in the practicing state or compact state license • Minimum 3 years NICU experience (28 weeks gestational age and up) • Travel nursing experience preferred • BLS and NRP certification required • Ability to perform neonatal resuscitation, arterial sticks, peripheral blood draws, and assess newborns accurately • Experience with Alaris IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, bubble CPAP, and Puritan Bennett ventilators • Strong critical thinking and assessment skills • Comfortable working nights and flexible shifts with holiday and weekend coverage Location: Richmond, Virginia Richmond is a vibrant capital city with a rich history, diverse culture, and a growing healthcare community.
