
Neonatal Intensive Care RN/Registered Nurse Texas in San Benito, TX

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience required.

A healthcare facility in San Benito, TX is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide specialized care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
This contract position requires a minimum of 2 years of Level III-IV NICU experience and certifications in NRP and STABLE.

Responsibilities:
Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill neonates in a 10-bed NICU with an 8-bed stepdown unit.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and providers to manage patient care and maintain patient-to-nurse ratios ranging from 1:
3 to 1:
1.
Operate advanced neonatal equipment such as HFNC, ventilators, SiPAP, HFOV, central lines, and feeding pumps.
Support emerging infants through procedures including intubations (performed by providers), chest tubes, PICC lines, and central lines.
Utilize EMR systems such as CPN/Meditech for accurate documentation.
Work a flexible schedule with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per month (Friday-Sunday), including on-call duties.
Qualifications:
Active RN license with at least 2 years of Level III-IV NICU experience.
Certifications:
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and STABLE program completion required.
Strong teamwork and proactive attitude with excellent communication skills.
Experience working with neonatal critical care technology and protocols.
