Key Responsibilities and Requirements
As a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in patient care, education, and emotional support:
• Utilize your knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, treatment options, and patient care tailored to the neonatal population.
• Champion customer service initiatives in every interaction.
• Apply nursing processes to meet the individual needs of your patients.
• Exhibit proficiency in performing essential technical skills and procedures.
• Manage common neonatal diagnoses such as respiratory distress, prematurity, hypoglycemia, apnea, bradycardia, sepsis, temperature instability, and hyperbilirubinemia.
Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current licensure by a state Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification; other certifications may be required based on your area of employment.
• NRP Certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• STABLE certification is required within 6 months of hire.
• A minimum of 1 year of RN experience is required.
• NICU experience is preferred.
