Position Summary:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Family Birth Place. The NICU is supported by a multidisciplinary care team that includes board-certified neonatologists, certified pediatric physician assistants, and neonatal nurses.
Responsibilities: Under the guidance of Nursing Leadership and in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, you will utilize evidence-based practices to develop care plans for a diverse patient population. This role focuses on the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families.
Qualifications:
• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Experience: At least one year of experience, with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience as a licensed nursing professional.
• Licensure & Certification: Registered Nurse in the State of CT; Certified BLS Provider credentialed by the American Heart Association (AHA); Additional certifications may be required for specialized areas.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English communication.

• Demonstrated ability to develop, deliver, and assess patient care.
• Manage a full patient assignment with increasing responsibilities.
• Knowledge of high reliability principles.
