Job Summary
As a Neuro IMU Registered Nurse at Memorial Hermann, you will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Your responsibilities will include performing nursing assessments, assisting with examinations and treatments, educating patients, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license for professional nursing.
• Certification in Basic Life Support.
• Additional certifications may be necessary according to specific unit needs.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
• RN I - Entry Level
• RN II = 1-3 years of experience
• RN III = 3-10 years of experience
• RN IV = 10+ years of experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
Principal Accountabilities
• Deliver safe and effective care tailored to patients' needs, respecting their age and individual requirements.
• Coordinate nursing care delivery in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and make informed clinical decisions.
• Guide and delegate tasks to the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes based on clinical data and professional standards.
• Develop and implement treatment, discharge, and transfer plans for patients.
• Engage in ongoing assessment and improvement of care programs and client-focused outcomes.
• Address diverse patient needs throughout their care continuum, adhering to top-tier service standards for optimal patient experience.
• Comply with all regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors while following all Memorial Hermann policies and effectively managing resources.
• Encourage personal professional growth through mandatory education and skill development; serve as a mentor or preceptor to support less experienced colleagues.
• Demonstrate commitment to compassionate care for our community by providing personalized experiences and following Memorial Hermann's service standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
