About the Program
The HCA Nurse Residency Program equips you with essential skills for a thriving career in the hospital setting. This paid program consists of:
• Advanced clinical training in a specialty area.
• Monthly educational sessions to enhance your skills.
• Guided preceptorship with experienced facility preceptors.
• Hands-on simulations to evaluate and improve your skills.
• Mentorship from seasoned nurse leaders.
• Collaboration on evidence-based practice projects.
In your role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to the specific needs of each patient while adhering to professional standards. You will work alongside medical providers and care teams to offer individualized, compassionate care, acting as an advocate for patients and their families.
Your Responsibilities Include:
• Assessing patient conditions upon admission and during each shift, identifying changes in status.
• Performing procedures and documenting care in patient medical records promptly.
• Administering medications and monitoring for therapeutic responses.
• Responding swiftly to patient requests and anticipating their needs.
• Educating patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and follow-ups.
Qualifications:
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No prior experience required; new graduates are welcome!
• Some travel may be required for training.
