Job Summary and Qualifications

The HCA Nurse Residency Program provides you with essential tools needed to thrive in today’s hospital environment. This paid program will facilitate your transition from classroom to practice through a structured series of learning experiences, such as:
• Advanced clinical training focused on oncology.
• Monthly educational workshops.
• Preceptorship with an experienced facility preceptor.
• Hands-on skill evaluations through simulations.
• Mentorship opportunities with nurse leaders.
• Collaboration on an evidence-based practice project.

What You Will Do:
• Assess patient conditions upon admission and routinely during shifts, promptly reporting any changes.
• Execute procedures and monitor patient needs as per medical directives, thoroughly documenting care in patient records.
• Administer prescribed medications while monitoring for therapeutic responses and addressing any adverse reactions.
• Provide exceptional patient care by responding swiftly to requests and anticipating needs proactively.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care, ensuring clarity in communication.

Qualifications Required:
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse status in the relevant state.
• No prior experience necessary.
• Willingness to travel for training as required.
