Overview
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, implementing evidence-based interventions, and offering holistic support—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—to our patients, their families, and friends.
Your Responsibilities Include:
• Delivering patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and communicate a solid nursing care plan.
• Creating nursing care plans through patient assessments, history gathering, and detailed documentation of patient conditions.
• Educating patients and their families about healthcare requirements, medications, and self-care practices.
• Evaluating and modifying care plans as necessary based on patient needs and health progress.
• Ensuring a safe, healthy, and secure patient care environment by adhering to policies and regulatory standards.
• Documenting care services in relevant records accurately.
• Maintaining patient care equipment and managing supplies effectively.
• Continuing professional growth by maintaining competencies and responding to ongoing training opportunities.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed as a Registered Nurse at Avera, you should be able to work the specified hours and fulfill the essential job functions competently. Required Education and Licensure:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state of practice upon hire.
