JOB SUMMARY - NICU
As a NICU Registered Nurse, you will demonstrate clinical competence through the nursing process and foster a synergistic nurse-patient relationship. You will assess and identify patient needs, develop a thorough plan of care, and implement and evaluate the care provided.
Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program. BSN or MSN preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience or successful completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program. Preferred: Two (2) or more years of experience in the NICU.
License and Certification:
• Current unrestricted License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
• Must obtain and maintain Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to achieve and maintain department-specific certifications.
• Preferred: Registered Nurse Core Certification (RNC - NIC or CCRN).
