Location: Avera McKennan Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends Pay Range: $32.00 - $46.50 (Actual pay rate dependent upon experience) Position Highlights • 2 years NICU experience required • This position may be eligible for a Sign on Bonus up to $15,000 • Student Loan Repayment: Eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, with contributions up to $10,000. • $3 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL for hours worked between 7p and 7a, $2 on weekends, and $5 on weekend nights! A Brief Overview As a NICU Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care, including developing nursing diagnoses and care objectives, delivering patient support, and collaborating with healthcare teams. Your responsibilities will include: • Implementing patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating care plans. • Creating and documenting nursing care plans based on patient assessments. • Educating patients and families on health requirements and self-care practices. • Evaluating patient care per standards and modifying plans as necessary. • Ensuring a safe patient environment by adhering to healthcare regulations and policies. • Documenting patient care services accurately. • Maintaining and troubleshooting patient care equipment and supplies. • Continuously enhancing nursing skills as required by leadership. Essential Qualifications Ability to work specified hours, with visual acuity and effective communication skills necessary for patient interaction.
