Job Description
Provide specialized nursing care to newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), ensuring their health and comfort while supporting families during critical early stages. This contract role allows you to apply your expertise in a dynamic hospital setting with a dedicated healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive care to premature and ill infants, including diaper changes, feeding, and vital sign monitoring.
• Coordinate medical treatments in collaboration with NICU physicians and neonatal nurse practitioners.
• Attend births, measure and weigh infants, and monitor their health immediately after delivery.
• Educate and support new parents on breastfeeding and newborn care techniques.
• Perform specialized procedures such as drawing blood and administering treatments.
• Lead and supervise nursing staff duties to maintain seamless patient care.
• Utilize nursing processes to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Adhere to hospital and unit protocols and directives to ensure quality care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with NICU experience.
• Strong clinical skills in neonatal care and newborn assessments.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills to support families and staff.
• Capability to lead and mentor nursing colleagues.
