We also deeply value the well?being of our employees, volunteers, patients, and families. Position Overview Status: Full?time, hourly, non?exempt. 36 hours per week (three 12?hour shifts per week). Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Schedule to be determined by Clinical Supervisor. Work outside of these hours may be required. Location: Hospice House in Bend, Oregon. Pay: $42.00?60.53 per hour, based on experience. Eligible shifts receive additional differential pay. We offer two medical, dental, and vision plans. The RN plays a key role in managing individualized care plans, coordinating with interdisciplinary team members, and ensuring comfort and dignity for patients at the end of life. Essential Functions • Apply nursing principles and techniques to treat patients; provide nursing care, emotional support, and patient/family/caregiver education. • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, family, and caregiver information. • Implement and continue development of the patient care plan and the physicians plan of treatment, and manage the patients case. • Follow universal precautions and demonstrate proper infection control techniques. • Maintain records of services performed and the patients apparent condition, using documentation guidelines and standards set forth by the organization. • Communicate with physicians and others as needed to coordinate and ensure high?quality care; communicate on a regular basis with all staff/volunteers regarding patient status. • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the dying process and recognize the importance of maintaining professional boundaries. Work Environment • May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases; contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances. • May be exposed to/occasionally exposed to patient elements; subject to varying and unpredictable situations. • Handles emergency or crisis situations. • OSHA exposure category 1: Position includes tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues. • Required personal protective equipment as conditions warrant: gloves, gown, mask, mask with shield, goggles, shoe covers, bouffant cap. Required Skills & Qualifications • Unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse License. • Ability to pass a background test, drug screen, and TB test. • Graduate of an accredited nursing school. • One to two years of recent medical care experience in an institutional setting is preferred. Ideal candidates will possess 1?2 years of home health or hospice experience. • Active CPR Certification. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. • Compassion, empathy, and dedication to patient care. #J-18808-Ljbffr
