The Medical Surgical department at Wilcox provides competent and safe care to patients admitted for acute nursing interventions of 24 hours or more within surgical/medical and oncology services. Our highly trained and professional staff treats people recovering from serious illness, orthopedic problems and major surgery. Medication and treatments are provided in a warm and caring environment that facilitates patient recovery. If you enjoy working with people and providing warm, compassionate patient care, you could be our next Nurse Aide and assist with a wide variety of nursing care duties and procedures in our Medical Surgical department. We are looking for someone enthusiastic and caring, with excellent patient care and communication skills, the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people. Location: Wilcox Medical Center Work Schedule: Rotating - 8 Hours Work Type: Per Diem FTE: 0.475000 Bargaining Unit: ILWU Exempt: No Req ID 31821 Pay Range: 22.06 - 24.51 USD per hour Category: Medical Support Staff Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Nurse Aide course w/certification OR completion of one (1) year of nursing program. One (1) year clinical experience OR a successful completion of HPH Nurse Aide Program. Preferred Qualifications: Nurse Aide certificate.
