Deliver comprehensive nursing care through all phases of the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Serving as a resource in clinical situations, you will apply age-specific and culturally sensitive approaches to care for patients ranging from newborns to the elderly, supporting the overall mission of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities: • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans • Administer treatments and medications; interpret diagnostic tests • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about care plans and health maintenance • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes • Supervise unit secretaries and patient care technicians in coordination with charge nurses • Utilize office and medical equipment including computers, EKG, and cystoscopy tools • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care • Ensure compliance with nursing standards and healthcare regulations • Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule and ability to work independently Qualifications & Desired Experience: • Completion of an accredited nursing program approved by the National League for Nursing • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Alaska • Preferred: at least one year of nursing experience in a healthcare setting • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Proficient in medical terminology, nursing process, and care management • Basic skills in EKG and nursing procedures • Ability to follow protocols, solve practical problems, and work collaboratively Additional Details: This position is a contract assignment.
