A specialized opportunity is available for an Endoscopy Registered Nurse prepared to contribute expertise in advanced endoscopic procedures within a Magnet-designated acute hospital setting in Anchorage, Alaska. This contract role involves a 4x10-hour day shift schedule (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM), providing 40 hours per week with guaranteed hours totaling 70 every two weeks and an on-call rotation every fifth weekend. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Current Alaska RN license strongly preferred; pending licenses may be considered • Minimum of 1 year nursing experience; first-time contract nurses welcome • Required certifications: BLS; Preferred certifications include ACLS, PALS, and SGNA • Proficiency in advanced endoscopic skills such as Per UD, EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, colonoscopy, and bronchoscopy Responsibilities: • Deliver specialized nursing care during complex endoscopic procedures within the acute hospital trauma level II setting • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and procedural excellence • Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain accurate documentation using the Epic charting system • Participate in scheduled on-call availability as required Location Insights: Anchorage boasts a unique blend of urban amenities and breathtaking Alaskan wilderness.
