Job DetailsJob Location: St. Charles, MO 63301Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $29.00 - $30.00 HourlyJob Summary This role is part time evenings (approx. 30 hours monthly) and would need to be available 4 consecutive evenings in one week every month. The Nurse Education Specialist (NES) will deliver comprehensive training to all new and existing staff members. The NES will maintain a current LPN or RN license. Key Responsibilities Deliver clear, effective, high-quality training to new hires and existing team members. Facilitate Level 1 Medication Aide, Medication Refresher and Medication Review training. Monitor completion of medication passes. Communicate and follow up with supervisors. Facilitate all other Emmaus training courses as needed. Assess the learners’ readiness for certification. Measure training effectiveness. Provide training that supports different learning styles. Evaluate the learners’ retention of the training material, provide individual support, coaching and feedback. Collaborate cross functionally to share best practices, network, and solicit input on how to improve the effectiveness of training. Maintain training records, assign employees to the required training, prepare, and distribute monthly training schedules, inform employees and supervisors when an employee’s training lapses or when they are not in compliance with the required certifications. Participate in committees or workgroups as needed for companywide initiatives or special projects. Gain and maintain subject matter expertise in E-learning. Utilize the Learning Management System to develop and search modules, create and run reports, and monitor and report progress. QualificationsStandard - Demands of the Job Operate standard office equipment including but not limited to a laptop, cell phone, fax machine, printer, and copier. Appropriately and effectively assist individuals during crisis or emergency situations. Able to demonstrate duties for trainees Able to solve complex problems, prioritize and plan in a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Able to develop and maintain a method of organization that supports being efficient and effective. Able to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Job Requirements/Desired Education and/or Experience HS diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in human services or healthcare preferred. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in Missouri or in possession of a temporary permit from the Missouri State Board of Nursing. Minimum of one year working as a nurse is required. L1MA Instructors certification preferred. Prior training/facilitation experience preferred. 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred. Practical knowledge of accreditation standards is preferred. Experience developing and implementing education curriculum is preferred. Intermediate skills using, Microsoft Office 365 products, Relias LMS, QuickMar/electronic medication administration system, THERAP/electronic client record system, and time and attendance system preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Able to acquire and maintain instructor certification for Medication Administration training. Able to acquire and maintain instructor certifications for other training classes deemed necessary through regulatory agencies.
