Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chamblee, GA for a Nurse Educator. The Nurse Educator will design and deliver nursing education programs, develop curriculum, and provide instruction to support high-quality healthcare services within the organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and revising training materials, conducting workshops, and coaching staff on nursing best practices. The role ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and promotes excellence in patient care delivery.
Duties include
A. Train new and current staff on medication administration, proxy caregiving and healthcare plans for all individuals.
B. Prior to the trainings, work closely with Director of Nursing to establish class policies, processes, documentation, etc.
C. Teach approximately 4-6 full sessions per month of medication administration & teach Proxy Refresher sessions.
D. Work with nursing department to build positive professional relationships.
E. Participate in the staff onboarding process for assigned individuals. Perform follow-up tasks for these new staffs to provide feedback and to answer any potential questions after they have been released from initial training.
F. While onsite/during virtual training day ensure all users have access to training materials.
G. Provide content and feedback on new and revised training course materials, guides, instructional aids, and presentations.
H. Provide solutions to feedback received from staff surveys related to training.
I. Travel to locations in GA as needed to deliver training.
Qualifications
• Expertise in Nursing and Nursing Education
• Experience in Curriculum Development for healthcare training programs
• Background in Medicine and Critical Care Medicine
• Strong communication, teaching, and leadership skills
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or related field; certification as a Nurse Educator is a plus
• Familiarity with caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is advantageous
