Qualifications & Experience: • Graduation from an NLN-approved nursing program. • Preferred: Minimum one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a healthcare setting. • Current Alaska Registered Professional Nurse licensure in good standing. • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Proficient in nursing procedures including treatments, medication administration, and diagnostic test interpretation. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Ability to use office and medical equipment, such as computers, telephones, EKGs, and cystoscopy devices. • Skilled in medical terminology and basic nursing skills. • Competency in mathematical calculations relevant to nursing practice. • Capacity to educate patients, families, and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals. • Familiarity with nursing processes and care management, including supervising unit secretaries and patient care technicians in collaboration with charge nurses. • Flexibility to adapt to variable schedules and independently manage nursing duties within scope. Responsibilities: • Deliver patient-centric nursing care from birth to elderly individuals using the nursing process. • Coordinate nursing activities ensuring compliance with Alaska nursing practice regulations. • Serve as a resource for complex clinical situations. • Document care delivery accurately and follow established guidelines. • Support organizational mission through culturally sensitive care practices. Additional Information: This is a contract position requiring proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination for all travelers.
