Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health (RN) 📍 Location: Aventura, Florida 🕒 Schedule: Full-Time | Days | No Weekends About the Facility A large, 450+ bed, fully accredited acute care hospital in South Florida is seeking a Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health to lead daily operations of its Behavioral Health department. The hospital is a designated Level II Trauma Center and holds multiple specialty accreditations, including stroke and cancer program recognition. The organization is committed to quality outcomes, advanced treatment protocols, and patient-centered care. Position Summary The Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health (RN) is responsible for overseeing daily department operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal performance, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals established by senior leadership. This leader manages 24/7 departmental operations and ensures compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and corporate standards. The Nurse Manager collaborates closely with hospital leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities • Manage daily Behavioral Health unit operations • Oversee staffing plans and schedule preparation • Provide input into hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards and corporate policies • Monitor quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction metrics • Manage department productivity and fiscal performance • Foster collaborative relationships with physicians and hospital leadership • Guide and support staff to maintain clinical excellence and regulatory compliance • Maintain accountability for 24/7 unit/department operations Required Qualifications • Active Florida RN license or compact licensure eligible in Florida • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program • Minimum 3 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience in an acute care hospital • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in one of the following roles within an acute care hospital: • Charge Nurse • Nursing Coordinator • Nursing Administrative Supervisor • Nursing Management Required Certifications • BLS (within 30 days of hire if not current) • ACLS (within 30 days of hire if not current) • CPI – Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (within 90 days of hire if not current) For more details reach at jmckenzie@navitashealth.com About Navitas Healthcare, LLC: It is a certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
