Nurse Manager opportunity with Trinity Health Oakland
Seeking a Registered Nurse to step into the role of Emergency Department Manager, guiding a high-volume Level II Trauma and Certified Stroke Center through continued growth and excellence.
Trinity Health Oakland, located in Pontiac, Michigan, is a leading community hospital recognized for advanced emergency care and specialty services. Our Emergency Department is a Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center, serving more than 60,000 patients annually and currently undergoing a major renovation and expansion to enhance patient experience and care delivery.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• State of Michigan Registered Nursing license required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree required. Master’s degree in nursing, Business or Health Administration preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of three years’ leadership experience in a related health care setting, five preferred.
POSITION PURPOSE
• The Nurse Manager is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. The responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to the other health care team members via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.
• Serves as a member of the organization’s nursing leadership team. Responsible for day-to-day operations, scheduling, staffing and providing 24/7 accountability for patient care delivery, planning, and evaluation of services of one or more clinical areas.
• Participates in and supports strategic development and outcomes management of nursing clinical areas.
• Responsible for review and evaluation of operations and services in accordance with business requirements, marketplace trends and technological needs.
• Provides clinical and administrative leadership for planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and evaluating safe, superior and preeminent quality patient care to ensure the advancement of clinical practice and patient care for a nursing unit that is consistent with the ANA Scope of Practice, American Organization of Nurse Leaders (AONL) Nurse Leader/Manager competencies, and American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Standards.
• Collaborate with and support director and key leaders, groups and stakeholder audiences in the development and implementation of operational plans, goals and objectives.
