Location: Arkansas Psychiatric Clinic | Little Rock, AK About the RoleAs a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), you will play a key role in providing high-quality outpatient psychiatric care to patients in our Little Rock clinic. This primarily in-office position allows for strong therapeutic relationships, direct collaboration with our clinical team, and continuity of care within a supportive environment.Your responsibilities will center on psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and integrated behavioral health treatment. You will work closely with therapists, medical providers, and support staff to develop comprehensive plans that address each patient’s mental health needs. Your work will directly impact patient well-being, treatment outcomes, and the mental health of the community we serve.Minimum QualificationsMaster’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited programCurrent Arkansas APRN license (or eligibility to obtain)Board certification as a PMHNP-BCActive DEA registration or eligibilityPreferred QualificationsExperience in outpatient psychiatry, behavioral health, or integrated careComfort treating a variety of psychiatric diagnoses across the lifespan (or specific population)Strong therapeutic communication skillsBilingual proficiency (English + another language)ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, mental status exams, and risk assessmentsDiagnose psychiatric conditions and develop individualized treatment plansProvide medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive counselingCollaborate with therapists, case managers, and medical staff to coordinate careMaintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentationParticipate in case consultations, team meetings, and quality-improvement initiativesDeliver patient-centered care aligned with evidence-based psychiatric practiceWork onsite in our Dallas clinicSkills & CompetenciesStrong diagnostic and clinical assessment capabilitiesExpertise in psychopharmacology and evidence-based treatmentAbility to provide supportive counseling and psychoeducationExcellent communication and therapeutic relationship-buildingAbility to manage complex cases and coordinate multidisciplinary careCommitment to compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric practice
