The APN should have graduated from Adult, Gerontology, or Acute Care programs. Must not have worked as a NP previously to be eligible for this program
Board examination needs to be taken and passed by February 2026, New Jersey Nurse Practitioner License, CDS & DEA required
Anticipated start date is June 23, 2026, Ending Date: 07/31/2026
. Only open to New graduates within 18 mos of June 2026 (Feb 2025 earliest)
At Hackensack Meridian Health's Hackensack University Medical Center, the post-graduate internal medicine fellowship for Nurse Practitioners is designed to provide Advanced Practice Nurses an opportunity to engage in both didactic and clinical experiences through a 12-month fellowship at one of the top medical centers in the nation. During the year-long fellowship, the Nurse Practitioner will rotate through a variety of in-patient care settings, including an elective rotation of choice. Clinical rotations will include subspecialties in internal medicine and didactic hours.
The fellowship program goals include:
• Building upon the education and practice base required to instill confidence to practice independently to manage a patient caseload;
• Developing effective communication and presentation skills as part of the inter professional care team;
• Utilizing evidence-based medicine practices through value-based care;
• Preparing the APN to assume full responsibility for care of complex populations in multiple settings;
• Providing an avenue for APN leadership within the organization;
• Leading an evidence-based project or research.
• Advanced Practice Nurse Fellowship: Internal Medicine
This is a full time Nurse Practitioner for12 months at HackensackUMC. Generally it will be an (8) hour day shift with occasional nights required. This depends on what rotation the NP is completing. Weekends and holidays as needed.
Application Deadline is December 31st 2025, must been a new NP with a graduation date no earlier than February 2025.
