Community Health Care Barberton is looking for a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner with a passion for helping others. Responsibilities:
- Performing physical exams and patient observations
- Recording patients' medical histories and symptoms
- Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones
- Ordering and analyzing diagnostic tests
- Diagnosing health issues
- Detecting changes in patients' health and modifying treatment plans, as needed
- Educating patients and their families to manage and prevent illness and injury
- Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of the patients
Requirements:
- Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program
- APN authorization in Ohio to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners
- Prescriptive authorization
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and information systems
- A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of disease processes and prevention
