
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant-Peds Plastic Surgery (Riley Hospital) in Indianapolis, IN

Want to provide challenging and meaningful work for the good of every patient? Join our growing and compassionate team at IU Health! We are seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery-Pediatric Surgery team in downtown Indianapolis!
Position Details
• Full-time
• Day shift ( Tuesday-Friday, 7a-5:30p)
• No weekends, holidays, or call
• 50% Inpatient and 50%Outpatient
• Working directly with 1 surgeon, and 5 APP's available for collaboration as needed
• Practice location- Riley Hospital (occasionally Eskenazi Hospital)
Patient Population
• Pediatric patients with peripheral nerve injuries including brachial plexus injuries (infant 90%)
• Traumatic nerve injuries from lacerations/crushes/gunshots and cancer related
Procedures
• Botox for facial paralysis
Key Responsibilities
• 1st assist in OR cases (2 days per week)
• 20 patients/week in clinic
• Administrative assignments: update protocols, orient RN's, manage referrals/medical records/registry
Qualifications
• Master's Degree required
• ACNP, FNP, or PA certification required
• Must have current experience in a surgical service
• Ideal candidate will have background in nerve repair and reconstruction
• Must be a problem solver, have compassion and great communication skills
