Location: 1225 Hancock Road Suite 100F, Bullhead City, Arizona 86442 Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday (No nights or weekends) Setting: Fixed Clinic Location (Non-Treatment / Investigative) Are you a clinical provider looking for a mission-driven role without the stress of treatment plans and patient management? Medix is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in Bullhead City. In this role, you will play a critical part in the lives of our nation’s heroes by performing Compensation and Pension (C&P) Examinations. This is a unique, investigative clinical position focused on performing Disability Questionnaires (DBQs) and Separation Health Assessments (SHA). Instead of ongoing treatment, your focus will be on obtaining thorough medical histories, performing physical evaluations, and providing clinical opinions that help Veterans secure the benefits they deserve. Key Responsibilities: • Veteran Evaluations: Perform comprehensive physical examinations for Veterans and separating military members seeking benefits for service-connected health issues. • Medical Record Review: Conduct in-depth reviews of medical histories and abstracts applicable to the Veteran's claim. • Clinical Documentation: Submit high-quality, detailed charts within a 24-hour turnaround time via a cloud-based EHR. • Diagnostics: Order and interpret labs, X-rays, and other necessary ancillary services based on your physical findings. • Medical Opinions: Provide evidence-based medical opinion decisions and diagnoses based on the physical exam and the Veteran's claim history. • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside an interdisciplinary team and Market Managers to ensure clinical excellence. Role Dynamics: • Patient Volume: 1 to 6 Veterans per day (depending on the complexity of the DBQs). • Focus: Deep-dive investigations and charting. Average exam times range from 1.5 to 3 hours, allowing for quality time with each Veteran. • Fixed Location: All work is performed onsite at our Bullhead City clinic.
