Nurse - Preschool - RN in Byram, CT

Children's Learning Centers of Fairfield County (CLC), a leading comprehensive family services program providing inventive education and care to young children, birth through 5, and comprehensive services for its families, is looking to enhance its nursing staff with a full time Nurse, who is seeking an alternate to the clinical career route with regular daytime hours (35 hours per week - Monday through Friday), no nights, and no weekends.

Responsibilities will include:

• Conducting basic sight and hearing screenings
• Reviewing and verifying physician reports
• Tracking and reporting the health status of the children
• Monitoring health and safety issues, needs, and requirements
• Responding and documenting accidents and illnesses
• Assures compliance with infection control practices and standards
• Partnering, communicating, and collaborating with parents and staff

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Registered Professional Nursing program required. BSN and pediatric knowledge preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Access.
