Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your career while working with an extraordinary team? At Merakey, we put heart and soul into everything we do. We are seeking a PRN (per program need) Nurse to join our Adult Behavioral Health team in York, PA.

Schedule: PRN; Flexible with primarily 3rd shift and weekend hours, plus opportunities for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts during the week. Must work every other holiday and commit to at least 2 shifts per pay period (4 per month).

Earn $29.47/hour as an LPN or $39.73/hour as an RN, plus shift differentials

Position Details

Under the guidance of the Program Director, our nurse plays a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) within our Extended Acute Care (EAC) setting. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate, person-centered care in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and therapeutic treatment orders 
  • Train residents in self-administration of medications 
  • Monitor and document weight, respiration and blood pressure 
  • Participate in leading and co-leading therapeutic groups 
  • Thoroughly document in all medical records and complete client progress notes 
  • Provide nursing coordination of care both internally with psychiatrists and externally with community health care providers.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Current Pennsylvania RN or LPN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Experience working with the adult mental health population preferred.
  • Active and unrestricted driver's license required.
