Nurse (PRN) in Lake Oswego, OR

Mary's Woods is looking for an energetic, alert, compassionate and team oriented Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As a Nurse, you will work collaboratively to provide excellent care to older adults as you continue to promote our mission and vision. Mary's Woods is a non-profit senior living community founded in 2001. We offer independent living, assisted living, memory care and residential care in a park-like setting on 40 acres in Lake Oswego. Below are some of the core responsibilities, experience and skills needed to be successful: • Demonstrates an expertise in the execution or supervision of skilled nursing procedures, i.e., medication pass, treatments within the scope of his/her licensure. • Assists the Unit Coordinator in writing and updating medical/nursing plan of care or service plan. • Documents resident information using appropriate terminology, spelling and abbreviations according to policies of facility and state and federal regulatory agencies. • Makes daily rounds and identifies early signs and symptoms, changes in resident’s physical or psychological status and consults with physician or DNS as necessary. • Responsible for developing the total care plan/service plan and oversees the process to ensure compliance. • Provides and assures resident safety measures at all times. • Creates an environment that acknowledges, encourages and celebrates differences. • Functions and communicates effectively and respectfully within the context of varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities and cultural backgrounds. • Demonstrates knowledge of resident’s medical diagnosis and current medical status and uses this in documenting the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents. Education & Experience • Holds a current and unencumbered RN or LPN license in the State of Oregon. • Minimum of one year experience in a Long Term Care (or similar) environment preferred. • Current CPR, First Aide, and Food Handlers certification within three (3) months of hire.
