Location: Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute – 1300 Hempel Ave, Ocoee, FL 34761
Schedule: 3 shifts per week | 12-hour shifts (Day) | Posted every 6 weeks

Position Overview
The Nurse Resident administers patient care in a hospital or inpatient/observation setting where acute care patients receive active treatment for injuries, illnesses, medical conditions, or post-intervention recovery. This position is designed for licensed registered nurses with less than one year of experience, offering structured support and mentorship to build clinical confidence and competence.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
• Administers bedside patient care under the supervision of a preceptor, leader, and/or charge nurse.
• Assesses patient needs, develops/revises individualized care plans, and evaluates progress toward expected outcomes.
• Functions as an advocate for patients and families while respecting diversity and fostering collaboration.
• Demonstrates age-specific care knowledge and skills appropriate to assigned unit.
• Communicates and collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to plan and manage care.
Qualifications
Education/Training
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and assigned unit.
Licensure/Certification
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or valid Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multistate RN license.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC required for certain areas (NRP required for NICU).
Experience
• No prior RN experience required (less than one year of experience).
