Responsibilities: • Follows prescribed medical regimen as outlined by attending Physician. • Provide assistance in the management of resident care on the unit assigned • Enters chart documentation as well as provides communication within nursing staff • Takes orders for lab work and performs necessary blood work, documents needed information accurately • Provide direct nursing care functions appropriate to License qualifications • Communicates with physicians appropriately, including accepting new orders, preparing for receipts, receiving physician call-backs • Responds to emergencies according to policy Skills for Success: • Current License to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical with the Virginia State Board of Nursing. • Current CPR and First Aid certification • Leadership and communication skills.
