Job Description
Full-time Days 7am to 7:30pm Nursing Assistant Position SummaryThe Nursing Assistant provides essential support to nursing staff by performing basic patient care duties, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients.Essential FunctionsPerform basic patient care tasks including hygiene, grooming, and mobility support.Provide general nursing care such as patient positioning, lifting, turning, and use of assistive equipment.Assist with toileting using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation.Take and document vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, and blood pressure, as well as intake and output measurements.Assist in patient admission, transfer, and discharge, including handling personal belongings.Maintain a clean and comfortable patient environment.Respond promptly to patient call lights, telephone, and paging systems.Perform other related duties as assigned.Additional InformationEffective communication and teamwork skills required.Ability to prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced care setting.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.Experience: Minimum six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred.Certifications: CPR/BCLS certification required.
