Job Requirements Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN), under the direction of the Manager/Director, utilizes advanced nursing knowledge to provide callers with appropriate healthcare information and options telephonically, through the use of physician approved protocols and nursing guidelines. RN will provide triage, health education, medical procedure overviews, physician referrals and community resource referrals to callers. Performs hospital discharge and disease-management follow-up telephone calls utilizing established health surveys and triage guidelines. Full-Time status requires 36-40 hours weekly. Weekend and holiday rotation per departmental policy. Minimum Requirements Education • Associates Degree in Nursing Experience • 3-5 years Nursing Experience License/Registration/Certifications • Current license to practice in South Carolina as a Registered Nurse. Current license to practice in Pennsylvania as a Registered Nurse or will obtain within 120-days of hire. Preferred Requirements Preferred Education • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred Experience • 6+ years Nursing Experience Preferred License/Registration/Certifications • N/A Core Job Responsibilities • Ability to talk and type simultaneously. • Typing and computer skills. • Able to withstand sitting for prolonged periods. • Able to read, write and speak English fluently. • Possess manual dexterity, good eye/hand coordination and adequate vision needed in daily work. • Excellent verbal communication skills, pleasant telephone voice. • Able to respond calmly and efficiently in crisis situations. • Able to maintain effective working relationship with callers, employees, guest and other agencies. • Possess a sense of professional pride and leadership qualities. • Possess teaching skills. • Able to appropriately respond to any situation given by the caller. • Work effectively, professionally, and autonomously requiring minimal supervision. • Able to work in confined spaces.
