Shift: Night Shift, 12 hours (5:30 PM - 6:00 AM)
Location: Columbus, NE
Job Overview: We are excited to invite skilled and dedicated nursing professionals to apply for the role of Nursing Supervisor. In this crucial position, you will step into a leadership role, overseeing hospital operations during the night shift. This temporary opportunity spans from March 24, 2025, to June 21, 2025. Your role will focus on managing patient care, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff, and addressing operational challenges that may arise overnight.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee hospital operations during night shifts, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.
• Act as the main point of contact for medical, nursing, and administrative staff on all inquiries and concerns.
• Collaborate with department heads to facilitate effective communication and coordination across various departments.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance as needed.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations.
• Manage staffing levels and coordinate resources to deliver optimal patient care.
• Conduct patient assessments and effectively intervene in crisis situations.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date documentation.
Qualifications:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Nebraska.
• BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a House Supervisor or in a similar leadership position within a healthcare setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Strong adaptability to changing situations and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and patients as necessary.
• Ability to stand, walk, and respond swiftly in emergency scenarios.
Compensation: $68 per hour
