Position Purpose

At Saint Mary’s Hospital, the Nursing Supervisor (House) serves as the on-site leadership that ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across all units by coordinating nursing operations, supporting staff, and resolving clinical and administrative issues. The supervisor acts as a resource for nursing teams and collaborates with other departments to maintain continuity of care and operational efficiency.

What You Will Do
• Support and guide nursing staff across departments.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and patient flow.
• Resolve clinical and operational issues in real time.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current Connecticut RN license.

Preferred:
• The ideal candidate will have experience as a Nurse Supervisor in an Inpatient acute care facility. With a history of nursing experience or leadership roles within the ICU or Inpatient Critical Care setting. Ideal roles would be as a Charge Nurse or Assistant Nurse Manager.
• BLS or CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Support available for certifications post-hire.

Important Consideration:

This role is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training for Nursing Supervision experience. Candidates must be able to function independently as a Nurse Supervisor in an inpatient Trauma Center.

Position Highlights and Benefits
• Per Diem – Rotating Shifts.
• Shifts can be a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts. Will require support on nights, weekends, and holidays
• Hourly position, eligible for shift differentials.
• Compensation Range: $44.05 min - $70.50 max.
