The Coeur d' Alene office of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse, Registered Sr. with the Bureau of Long Term Care in the Division of Medicaid. The Nurse, Registered Senior position is responsible for completing in home assessments with participants with a focus on remaining in their home environment. This position ensures quality management standards are completed. Additional responsibilities include working closely with health care providers, consultation, and liaison with the community. This position is Monday through Friday and does not require work on weekends, holiday’s, or on-call shifts.
This position may be eligible for limited telework after successful completion of probation and necessary training. Approval to telecommute is not guaranteed and subject to termination at any time.

Assess each client's health, social, emotional, rehabilitative, and habilitative care needs.
Observe facility staff and others providing services to clients.
Use critical thinking skills and professional judgement to determine if the facility is meeting clients' needs in accordance with the stated regulations and health care standards.
Licensed as a Professional or Registered Nurse in Idaho as defined by Idaho Code 54-1408 or state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418. Experience performing nursing assessments and developing and implementing nursing care plans. Typically gained by at least six months work experience.
