In this role, you will:
• Assist in both emergency and elective surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Serve as a liaison between the surgical team and patients' families.
• Organize necessary supplies for surgical procedures.
• Assess patients before, during, and after surgery, while maintaining a sterile operating environment.
• Ensure patient safety through careful count procedures and site verification.
• Monitor and manage patients' physiological status throughout surgery.
• Administer medications as per physician orders.
• Involve patients and their support systems in decision-making concerning post-operative care and rehabilitation.
Qualifications required:
• A graduate from an accredited nursing program; an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is mandatory.
• Registered Nurse license valid in your practicing state or an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS Provider certification.
• At least one year of experience in perioperative nursing.
